A studio with over four decades of experience which has been working for many years on the possible development of a sort of ‘African modernism’ for architecture, identifying two possible paths forward: on one side, the chance to make use of advanced technology and research, especially as regards commercial and service environments; on the other, the recovery of the African tradition of construction and architectural types. In both cases, the common goal is to define architecture that can respond dynamically to the climate crisis.
