PEOPLE Lyndon Neri / Guo Xi-En (b. Ozamiz, Philippines, 1965), Rossana Hu / Hu Ru-Shan (b. Kaohsiung, China, 1968)

As international, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary as the city they call home – Shanghai – the studio works on projects of every scale, from wonderful lamps to large public buildings. Over the years, they have received awards and recognition for the cultural impact and spatial relevance of their work, which centres shape, light, and generosity of space sought in an architecture that is at once and always multiple and synthetic, ancestral and poetic: in some way the result of nostalgia, a modern-day aptitude that represents the fundamental positivity at the heart of the studio’s practice.
