In her paintings, Portia Zvavahera gives shape to emotions coming from a realm which goes beyond the real and the conscious world. Her vivid images are rooted in the milestones of earthly existence: life and death, pain and pleasure, isolation and connection, love and loss. Deeply personal visions realised through layers of vibrant colors and decorated patterns similar to veils.
