SABLE ELYSE SMITH

BORN 1986, Los Angeles, USA
LIVES&WORKS New York, USA

A multi-disciplinary artist and author, in her photographs, video installation, neon art pieces, and sculptures, she mixes pop art and autobiography, with a prominent focus on the figure of her father, who spent a large part of her life imprisoned. Smith focuses on the effect that the prison system has on the lives of individuals and on the long-term traumatic effects that linger in their psyches and in those of their dear ones.
