[Biennale College Arte] Simnikiwe Buhlungu holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, where he co-founded the politically engaged art collective Title in Transgression. Buhlungu’s investigation focuses on the complexity of knowledge production, how it spreads and who is its creator. Through films, sounds, installations and texts, the South African artist employs everyday narratives and aspects to lead observers to metaphorical and theoretical considerations on how we know the world and we live it.
