SONDRA PERRY

BORN 1986, Perth Amboy, USA
LIVES&WORKS Newark, USA

An interdisciplinary artist who makes video art her favourite means of expression, Perry designs moving picture experiences and gallery staging on the theme of black American identity. Her art uses colour and offscreen voice seeks to build better conditions for an intimate relationship with the viewer. The digital space coincides with the physical – both are part of a human perspective where every person can codify themselves, free from preconceived notions or constrictions, in a close relationship with technology and new media.
