The artist’s imagery draws on the study of the shape of words and, consequently, of thought. She works with words and word-producing organs, an oeuvre that takes expression in a multi-disciplinary production that focuses on sculpture and drawing. Over the last few years, Teresa Solar developed large-scale installations where groups of sister sculptures vary in shape and size, creating complex ecosystems of ideas. Clay, found objects, and human symbols coexist and intersect.
