MAURIZIO GALIMBERTI

Internationally renowned for his portraits of celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Robert De Niro, Johnny Depp, and Umberto Eco, as well as for projects and publications dedicated to cities like New York, Paris, Milan, Rome, and Venice, Maurizio Galimberti presents some of his most iconic Polaroid mosaics at the Stanze della Fotografia in Venice. Among these are portraits of Johnny Depp, Barbara Bouchet, and Angelica Huston, featured in an exhibition curated by Denis Curti, divided into six sections: Cenacolo, History, Sport, Portraits, Taylor Swift and Places.

His works, characterized by a fragmented and multifaceted vision of reality, are transformed into photographic mosaics that offer a reflection on perception and the multiplicity of viewpoints. Galimberti manipulates the images during development, using simple tools such as pens and sticks to directly alter the surface of the medium. The final compositions, assembled as mosaics, combine each shot into a cohesive vision that amazes with its spectacularity and depth.
