A new contemporary art project initiated by Belgian entrepreneur and collector Laurent Asscher which serves as an open platform where the primary exhibition function alternates with residencies and new productions. In a former soap factory of over a thousand square metres, AMA Venezia presents its first exhibition titled AMA Collection, a selection of works from Asscher’s private collection. Artists such as Jeff Koons, Elizabeth Peyton, Refik Anadol, David Hammons, and Avery Singer explore the dynamic tension between mechanical reproduction and the pictorial act, central elements in the creation of the artistic sign.
Artists on view: Refik Anadol, Wade Guyton, Lauren Halsey, David Hammons, Jacqueline Humphries, Jeff Koons, Florian Krewer, Brice Marden, Elizabeth Peyton, Mohammed Sami, Avery Singer, Rudolf Stingel, Salman Toor, Jordan Wolfson.
