10 Biennale College Cinema

In 2011, Savina Neirotti had been invited at the IFP-Independent Filmmaker Project Film Week. Those meetings went by one word: micro-budget. Funding was so scarce that many filmmakers had to resort to very creative solutions, which is what made us decide to start the Biennale College Cinema programme. Our approach was unprecedented: we focused more on the process, rather than the result. Ten years later, we are proud to look at a balance sheet very much in the black – not only for the feature films we produced, but for our contribution in generating a whole art community.
