Four days of meetings, debates and workshops dedicated to the theme of identity tales, from a literary, philosophical, anthropological, legal, political point of view; artistic and theatrical performances, hosted in the auditorium of the M9 – Museum of the ‘900, in the Teatrino of Palazzo Grassi and in the headquarters of the Academy of Fine Arts (Former Hospital of the Incurables). Seventeen appointments, opportunities for discussion to bring “madness” back to the center of a serious and interdisciplinary reflection that enhances its creative and communicative potential. An independent cultural initiative that the Festival dei Matti has been conducting for 12 years, interviewing artists, journalists, philosophers, writers, poets, historians, psychiatrists and psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, jurists together with the stories and testimonies of lives touched or upset by madness . A search for comparisons and critical reflections on the theme of the relationship between normality and madness in our world outside the technical perspectives and identity fences that produce objectifications, voids of law, injustices and violations.
