After two years, the restoration of The Crucifixion by Jacopo Tintoretto in the Sala dell’Albergo of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco has come to a close. Just a few days before the start of Holy Week, on April 12, in the presence of the Bishop and city authorities, the great painting will be unveiled to the public, who will have the opportunity to admire the results of this ambitious undertaking. Sixty-five square meters of painted surface have been treated by the skilled hands of the restoration firm C.B.C. (Conservazione Beni Culturali), thanks to major funding from Save Venice with the generous support of Arnold M. Bernstein.
