The mission of this Festival is to re-evaluate Bizet’s mélodie production and appreciate the place they have in the French music repertoire. Tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen unveils some of these gems, composed on poetry by Hugo, de Lamartine, and Desbordes-Valmore.
