Four years after When I Shoot At You With Arrows, I Will Shoot To Destroy You (2018), Micah P. Hinson presents his eleventh album entitled I Lie to You. Produced by Alessandro “Ace” Stefana (PJ Harvey, Mike Patton, Vinicio Capossela), it includes ten original tracks, with the addition of a bonus track entitled You and Me. In these new tracks, Micah bares his soul and shows his story, in the transparency of these songs full of love, absence and regret. A raspy, weather-marked voice, music that is true and sincere but poignant and unassuring. The final chapter of a career that looks into the past. With songs written in his teens and thirties, Micah recounts the most troubled times and recent years, already feeling revitalised and free of all the thoughts that tormented him. Accompanying Micah are the celestial strings of Raffaele Tiseo, the metaphysical drums of Zeno De Rossi and the double bass of Greg Cohen. At the beginning of 2020, after releasing ten critically acclaimed albums and building a solid international fanbase, Micah P. Hinson almost abandoned his music career, which he took back during the pandemic, in which the artist took advantage of his time off to reflect and recalibrate.
