A prolific composer of operas, Bizet did not neglect the more intimate genre of the French mélodie. The preview concert of the festival that Palazzetto Bru Zane is dedicating this year to the French composer – also to be performed in Paris on March 24 at the Amphithéâtre – Cité de la Musique – offers a chance to appreciate mélodies and piano pieces by a composer who has rightfully become a legend in the history of music. Titles such as Chanson d’avril and Rose d’amour, among others, will be performed by mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet and pianist Florian Caroubi.
