On the occasion of the New Echo System project, in collaboration with Pro Helvetia Venezia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection is hosting a performance by Swiss cellist-composer Sara Oswald. With a resolutely contemporary approach to the cello, sometimes accompanied by the voice in counterpoint or in song form, Oswald is able to create a profound and evocative performance with a cinematic atmosphere. In the New Echo System’s 2024 programme, after two residencies that brought together Salômé Guillemin and Anais Drago (in collaboration with L’Abri – Genève) and Leo Tardin and Enrico Terragnoli (in collaboration with the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation), a collaboration between drummer Arthur Hnatek and electronic musician Stenny and a site-specific performance project on Venice by Igor Cardellini and Tomas Gonzalez are coming up in May. In July, an exclusive concert by cellist Sara Oswald in the magical garden of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the announcement of autumn projects. Participation is free, subject to registration from Monday 1 July, while places are available. In the event that places are sold out online, it is possible to turn up on the evening of the event and gain access in the event that some of those booked do not turn up.
