Born in Bremen in 1979, Alexander Schubert finds his comfort zone in the grey space between acoustic and electronic music. We shall listen to his work at the Sale d’Armi on September 22 – an immersive project where music and virtual reality will be two sides of the same coin. Sleep Laboratory shows sleep as an instance of VR, a place where the conscious and the subconscious travel back and forth between the real and the imagined.
The audience will be given VR visors and will lie in beds as they abandon themselves to a journey of hypnosis, meditation, and introspection. The experience will last 50 minutes; the scenery is curated by Felix Jung, Marc Einsiedel, Leonhard Onken Menke, and Sebastian Olariu.
