A series of works on paper, including graphite, watercolor, and pigment markers drawings, as well as unique “threaded” drawings where cotton thread is incorporated into handmade paper, highlight the essential role that drawing plays in the art of Do Ho Suh (b. 1962). “Many of these works are meditations on ideas that have accompanied me throughout my life; they speak to the heart of my work and my thinking,” the artist stated. The exhibition showcases his methodology, innovative techniques, and experimental use of materials, emphasizing the expansive role of drawing in his art.
