“We are born and have our being in a place of memory. We chart our lives by everything we remember from the mundane moment to the majestic.” (Bell Hooks) Hooks’ reflections echo in Erjon Nazeraj’s art, a creation of otherworldly landscapes, memories, and geographical boundaries. The exhibition, curated by Marta Blanchietti and Eleonora Da Col, explores the artist’s research for meaning and harmony. In his art, we shall see a past of effort and liberation and a future of personal and artistic maturity. Time shows indirectly, and not in any form of chronological process. In between major projects, Nazeraj compiles scrapbooks, themselves pages of a diary of past memories and reflections for the future.
