Formafantasma (Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin) is a research-based design studio that explores the ecological, historical, political, and social forces shaping contemporary design. The exhibition, curated by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, occupies the iconic spaces designed by Carlo Scarpa for Adriano Olivetti in 1957. Ore Streams: The Shape of Things to Come focuses on two main themes: the recycling of electronic waste and planned obsolescence. The analytical nature of Formafantasma translates into unconventional visual results, products, and strategies.
