This site-specific installation curated by Masahiko Haito reflects on the interaction between art and public space. Kengo Kito (b. 1977) cultivates an artistic exploration rooted in the use of ready-made materials for the creation of paintings and environmental installations that transform the space around them. Kito’s art is an incessant research for connections between
matter, color, and form, with particular attention to the relationship between art and architecture. His intervention marks the inauguration of the reopening of the Cortile dell’Agrippa and the beginning of a new phase in the story of the Venice Archaeological Museum.
