An unprecedented initiative for M9 that uses art as a tool for exploring and interpreting the social, cultural, political and economic history of Italy. On display is one of the grand masters of 20th century art, Emilio Vedova, whose work is both interpreter and witness of constant relevance. In life as in art, Vedova set at the centre of his practice human- kind, as echo of the infinite constellations of the universe, revolutionising painting with what international critics from the 1950s on recognised as a profoundly original direction, and carrying out his work passionately while also teaching young people, to whom he entrusted new ideas, responsibilities and hope.
