A multi-media approach to expand the rhetorical scope of art. Wang Haiyang’s reflects on modern existential issues and investigates themes like identity, language, and lust. His personal exhibition Love Dart uses oil painting, watercolour, and video to recreate a set of subjects and objects of ambiguous potential, which exist in continuous state of transformation, energy exchange, passion, and desire. The artist worked on the ideas of change, sexuality, pleasure, and instinct to depict an experience free from judgement that transcends any binary logic while supporting a state of fluidity between identities, species, and genders.
