The whole space is taken up by a multimedia installation of video, sound, wallpaper, and sculpture. The focal point of Sonia Boyce’s art is the exploration of gestures and behaviours that can generate potential, and on the character of people and ideas – political ideas, too – that characterize them. Participants, whether visitors or the Pavilion’s team – are invited to talk, sing, and move about according to their own lived experience in a sort of participated, collaborative game where improvisation is essential.
