Through the analysis of two restoration studies for the arsenals of Heraklion and Chania, in Crete, the project explores the balance between nature and artifact, memory and design, reactivating historical knowledge and traditional building techniques that are thus returned to the present to be shared within the society. The intervention preserves the original atmosphere of the sites, adapts the existing structures to contemporary needs, and demonstrates how architecture can serve as a living space of continuity between IntelligensHistorica and IntelligensCommunis.
