Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato si’, the Pavilion presents itself as a “constructed parable:” a site of repair and care that, alongside the restoration of the Santa Maria Ausiliatrice complex, reactivates relationships and memories. Architecture becomes a communal gesture, where every crack opens new possibilities. The project engages local communities, artisans, and apprentices, with weekly workshops led by the International University of Art – UIA. A shared kitchen welcomes residents and visitors, while music plays a central role thanks to instruments provided by the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory. Every act, from restoration to sharing a meal, becomes an opportunity for encounter, exchange, and resilience.
