The U.S. project explores the contemporary potential of the porch, an iconic and inclusive architectural element, symbolizing hospitality, exchange, and democracy. A solid wood porch, designed by a multidisciplinary team, extends across the building’s façade, acting as an ecotonal device between environment, community, and construction, transforming into a social and performative space. Inside the Pavilion, projects from across the country address urgent themes such as climate change and cultural identity, restoring the porch’s role as a threshold between public and private, architecture and environment, local communities and global dialogue.
