(2022, Austria, 87')
In the Austrian army discipline, intransigence, incorruptibility, chauvinistic military training and rule-abiding behaviour have only one name: Charles Eismayer. To the eyes of the soldiers Eismayer is an impenetrable human shield, but something is hidden inside him, an unmentionable secret that collides with the image he has given of himself. It is a secret that will only last until the enlistment of an openly gay young man, Mario Falak. A touching film and a powerful true story that talks about the importance of one’s subjectivity, too often fought over by conservative social clichés.
