Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival is the first European film festival run by university students under the guidance of a staff of film professors and film professionals. The initiative takes the form of an International Competition open to film students from all over the world and has become an important reference point for those involved in film studies. In addition to the main International Competition, the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival includes the Competition of the High Schools – focused on short film directed by students of high schools -, and the International Competition Music Video, which includes music video made by students of film schools or university. Once again, the festival will take shape in a “diffuse” manner in Venice, keeping the Auditorium Santa Margherita – Emanuele Severino as the main screen. A very feminine festival with an international jury formed by three Antoinette De Lillo, Ghasideh Golmakani and Cynthia Felando which will be protagonist of the Special Programme of the jury during which will meet the public and present cortometraggi from their direct or chosen. 30 short films from 28 countries in a festival that this year can be defined as female and especially for oriental cinematographic works.
