Born in Sicily in 1998, Gaetano Palermo is a multi-disciplinary artist who studied in Bologna, Venice, and Kassel, Germany. Palermo won the third edition of the Biennale College Theatre with Swan, a creation inspired by Michel Fokine’s The Dying Swan. The concept is abstracted from its purely theatrical dimension and transposed on the plane of female adolescence. Skater, performer, and artist Rita di Leo is portrayed in a moment of recreation as she lives in a sort of surrealness determined by circumstance.
