COVER STORY

“The film is an unconventional one. It is a sensual and emotional experience. The director’s ambition is clear: he wants the world to feel what it meant to be not only Marilyn, but also Norma Jeane. It is the most daring, uncompromising, and feminist approach to her story.”
Thus Ana de Armas about Blonde, the much-anticipated film by Australian director Andrew Dominik in the main competition at Venezia 79, where she stars in the title role.

EMILIO ISGRÒ
Edipo Re, Pier Paolo Pasolini’s yacht, docks at the Venice Film Festival temporarily rebranded as Isola Edipo, and turned into artwork by Emilio Isgrò, who decorated her sails with the 'cancellature' the artist is famous for.
