Directors Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte present the 50th. Theater Festival of La Biennale di Venezia from June 24 to July 3, entitled Rot. “A Festival where thoughts, visions and imaginations collide – which sees us let our guard down and work together to destroy rock-solid certainties and increase our awareness, bearing witness to the dignity and infinite possibilities of Mankind.” (ricci/forte)
“A tetralogy punctuated by different colours, different skies for new relationships between arts.” This is the idea directors of the Theatre division at Biennale, Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte, push forward after beginning their mandate last year with the colour Blue. This year’s programme, this time dedicated to the color red and entitled Rot, will include all productions of Biennale College Teatro, dedicated to Italian directors under 35, authors under 40, and site-specific performances. One of the most anticipated participations is that of author, theatre director, and filmmaker Christian Jatahy, awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, who will present in national premiere The Lingering Now. Silver Lion Samira Elagoz will participated with Seek Bromance.
