He has the voice of Gregory Porter and the groove of Incognito in the 16th edition of the Venezia Jazz Festival, which brings his music to the lagoon in a long calendar from June to August, signed by Veneto Jazz. The soul singer, star of international jazz, will be at the Teatro La Fenice on 9 July (8 pm) in the only Italian date awaited by a planetary audience, fascinated by his refined style that blends jazz, soul and gospel. On 21 July (9.00 pm), there will be dancing with Incognito in the unusual Piazza Mercato in Marghera. Pioneers of acid jazz, with a repertoire ranging from soul to funk to r&b, they are celebrating over 30 years of career and 15 studio albums, always led by the charismatic Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick (concert organised in collaboration with the Culture Sector of the Venice City Council and Arteven). However, the festival’s journey begins on Friday 14 June on the shores of Canareggio at Laguna Libre, with a concert by Raquel Kurpershoek in trio. Raised between Holland and Spain, she is a leading figure in European world music and her artistic journey is a fusion of music, cultural diversity and a commitment to inclusivity (double set from 8.30 pm to 11 pm with dinner from 7 to 10.30 pm).
