The 7th Venezia Jazz Festival Fall Edition confirms itself as one of the most interesting events of the season, with a calendar of 17 concerts, from 4 October to 29 November, signed by Veneto Jazz. On stage, on the most evocative Venetian stages, artists from different corners of the earth, the Italian jazz avant-garde and a focus on the jazz of tomorrow, with the Award and Tomorrow’s Jazz Night dedicated to the new generation of musicians. “This edition is extraordinarily rich,” comments Giuseppe Mormile, artistic director of the festival. “Once again the musical autumn in Venice speaks the different languages of the world, with projects that explore ancient traditions and contemporary visions, from the Middle East by Derya Turkan and Canberk Ulaş to the Mediterranean by Renaud Garcia-Fons, from the Africa of Seckou Keita to the Brazil of Vanessa Moreno and Salomão Soares, without forgetting an Italy absolutely rich in talent, such as Eleonora Strino and Daniele di Bonaventura, and international jazz interpreted by great masters such as Omar Hakim, Rachel Z, Michael Rosen, Nik Bärtsch and Vincet Herring. There is also an electronic appendix, with new projects by Valerio Corzani and Francesca Guccione, and a spotlight on young Italian jazz talents’.
